Racist Wedding Speech Tiktok Video Gains Attention For All The Right Reasons

Tori, also known as @browneyed beauty, posted the racist wedding speech TikTok video, which has received 8.9 million views, 923.8K likes, and 11.5K comments.

She wanted to show appreciation and support on her friend’s special day, but things went a little wrong.

Her speech gained massive traction on several sites, including Reddit, Instagram, and TikTok, before being covered by numerous media sources.

The video, which lasts 1 minute and 49 seconds, began with the bridesmaid mentioning that she had known the bride for nine years. 

‘I don’t really know Anthony, the groom that well, but Tracy talks about you all the time, You two look great together,’ she said. 

The bridesmaid’s remark, ‘ You take care of my girl because if you don’t, I know where you live,’ caused embarrassed laughter from the audience, signaling that the speech was going well.

Then Shannon addresses the groom, ‘I swear to God that you are a member of the family. Im just letting you guys know that I’m not going to be racist,’ which made the speech awkward.

Even one audience member was heard saying, ‘Oh my god.’

Racist wedding speech TikTok goes on, nearly turning it into a comedy routine, snapping her fingers and joking, ‘I’m going to be racist, OK,’ while laughing. 

Shannon continues, saying that although she appreciates that the newlyweds are ‘outstepping the norm,’ she knows that people will remark about them being an interracial marriage.

Then she declares to the crowd that she loves Black people. One of the attendees put us all out of our misery when they began to clap.

This speech was unquestionably more appealing and sentimental.

Later, Tori shared another video of Shannon and other women dancing while the bouquets were being tossed. 

‘The night continued on and it was still lovely and enjoyable,’ Tori wrote in her blog post to let the viewers know that the attendees were still able to have a fantastic time despite the embarrassing speech.

The groom’s sister claimed that the wedding went wonderful, despite receiving several odd responses from social media users.

The TikTok replied to her followers in the comments section of the trending video, ‘Y’all the wedding still went on and it was a great time! I honestly think she was genuinely nervous but it made a lot of us feel really awkward throughout and afterward,’ the bride’s sister continued in another comment.
